Testing, Adjusting, Balancing – What do they mean?
- Testing: Quantitative performance assessment of each piece of equipment. (To determine quantitative performance of equipment)
- Adjusting: Appropriately regulating airflow and fluid quantity at terminal units to achieve the specified flow rate and air patterns (To requlate the specified fluid flow rate and air patterns at the terminal equipment eg, reduce fan speed throttling etc.)
- Balancing: Distributing proportional flow rates within the distribution system (To proportion flows within the disrtibution system. Submains, branches and terminals. In accorance with specified design quantities)
